Terms of Use

These Terms of Use apply when you use languagetalents.com (the "Site"). The Site is run by Language Talents ([legal company name and registered address]), "we" or "us". By using the Site, creating an account or sending us a message, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. What the Site does

Language Talents connects multilingual people with employers. Visitors can browse job advertisements. Job seekers can create a profile with a resume and a cover letter. Employers can advertise jobs, create an account and contact us. Paying members can search the Resume Database.

2. Accounts

  • You must give correct information and keep your password secret. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
  • Job seekers must be at least 18 years old.
  • Employers confirm that they may act for the company they register.
  • We may refuse, suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms or puts the Site or other users at risk.

3. Job advertisements and Apply links

  • Jobs on the Site are published by us, by employers and by partners. We do not promise that a job is still open, that it matches your expectations, or that you will be hired. We are not your employer and we are not a party to any contract between you and an employer.
  • The Apply buttons open the website of an employer or partner. Some of these links are referral links, which means we may receive a payment when you apply or are hired. This costs you nothing extra. Third-party sites have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them.
  • When you press Apply while logged in, we save the job in your account under Jobs I applied for.

4. Job seekers: your profile, resume and cover letter

  • You keep the rights to your content. When you create a profile and tick the boxes at registration, you give us a non-exclusive licence to store, display and share your profile, resume and cover letter with employers who are approved members of the Resume Database, for recruitment purposes, for as long as your account exists.
  • You promise that what you upload is true, that you have the right to share it, and that it contains nothing unlawful or harmful.
  • You can change your profile or delete your account at any time in My account. Deleting your account removes your profile, resume and cover letter from the Site.
  • We do not promise that any employer will view your profile or contact you.

5. Employers: advertising and the Resume Database

  • Prices and the start and end dates of advertisements are agreed with us, for example by message or invoice. An advertisement runs during the agreed period.
  • Access to the Resume Database is for paying members only. Registering an account does not give access. We open access after payment has been confirmed, and we may close it if payment stops, the agreement ends or these terms are broken.
  • Members may use candidate information only to recruit for their own open roles. You must not copy, scrape, resell, publish or share the database or any profile, and you must not send unrelated or bulk marketing to candidates.
  • You must handle candidate data lawfully, keep it secure and delete it when you no longer need it. From the moment you receive candidate data you are responsible for following data protection law.
  • Job descriptions must be truthful. You must not advertise anything unlawful or discriminatory.

6. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Site. This includes trying to break into accounts or the system, using automated tools to collect data, sending spam or harmful files, uploading unlawful material, or pretending to be someone else.

7. Our content

The Site, its design, logo, texts and software belong to us or our licensors. You may use them only to use the Site as intended. Language Talents and its logo are our brand.

8. Availability and changes

We work to keep the Site available and accurate, but we do not promise that it will always be available, free of errors or complete. We may change, pause or end any part of the Site, and we may update these terms. The date at the bottom shows the latest version. If you keep using the Site after a change, you accept the new terms.

9. Liability

The Site is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using the Site, from decisions made by employers or candidates, from content or links of third parties, or from the Site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Ending your use

You can stop using the Site and delete your account at any time. We may end or limit your access if you break these terms. The parts of these terms that are meant to continue after that, such as sections 5, 7 and 9, continue to apply.

11. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of [country]. The courts of [country or city] are responsible, unless mandatory consumer law gives you the right to use the courts where you live.
